Does A Deputy Need To Take Out A Security Bond For Insurance ?


Yes. Deputies will be required by the Court of Protection to purchase a security bond to protect the assets of the vulnerable person (P) before the order is issued to the deputy. The cost of the bond is usually paid for fron the clients own money and is linked to the size of the vulnerable persons estate.
