Q:
What is a Corporate Appointee?
A:
A corporate appointee is a Solicitor, specialist organisation or a local authority nursing home or Primary Care Trust (PCT) that takes the responsibility for managing the finances of a person who is in their care. They will nominate a person to carry out the appointee duties on their behalf but the organisation remains responsible for the management of the person’s affairs.
